Pass with Purdy's Driving School - F.A.Q
Q: How do I apply for a provisional licence?
A: You can get an application form from your local post office. Complete the form and send it off to DVLA Swansea. You need to include some ID and payment of £50.00
Q: How many lessons do I need?
A: Everybody is different but research used by the Driving Standards Agency (The people who test you) advises us that the average learner requires about 46 hours training with a Driving Instructor, plus an additional 20 hours with a friend or family member. It is possible you may complete your training more quickly, equally it may take longer.
Q: What do I need to bring to my first lesson?
A: Your instructor will need to see both parts of your driving license, the photo card and paper counterpart. If you require glasses, you must wear them as your instructor will carry out an eyesight test. You must be able to read a number plate at a distance of 20.5 metres. You should also wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Q: Will I fit in the Mini?
A: The Mini can accommodate anyone up to 6'6 in height and 18 stone.
Q: Can I have training in my own car?
A: After making an assesment in the Driving School vehicle, your Instructor will decide whether or not training in your vehicle is a viable option. It is at the discretion of your instructor who will use his/her professional judgement to make his/her decision.
